#LovePup

A nonprofit organization

Creating & keeping loving homes for rescued dogs & their families.

The LovePup Foundation is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization that rescues dogs in need while also being a resource for the greater animal welfare community. With the help of his wife and three sons, founder and radio personality Johnjay Van Es had transformed his home into a full-service dog rescue center for stray, abandoned and owner surrendered dogs. The Van Es dream of opening a shelter came to life in 2021 when #LovePup opened its first shelter in Phoenix, allowing for #LovePup to care for even more dogs. Every rescued dog receives complete medical care, love and structure before being placed in an adoptive forever home. The foundation also provides resources to the community for shelter prevention. Since its inception in 2013, the foundation has rescued and adopted out over 700 dogs; assisted in preventing shelter intake by keeping dozens of dogs together with their families through their A Dog is Forever program; and provided funding for microchips for over 10,000 dogs adopted from the Maricopa County Animal Care & Control shelters through their It's Hip to Chip program. #LovePup operates out of Phoenix, Arizona but also assists dogs and communities nationwide through its programs and events.
