Since our Make-A-Wish office began in 1983, we have granted more than 21,000 wishes and we are proud to be one of the most active chapters in the country. Our mission is to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses, but that is only possible with support from our community and donors like you.
A wish gives children, and their families, the opportunity to step away from the fear and anxiety of their diagnosis, and instead experience uplifting happiness and gain a newfound sense of strength. We understand the power of a wish and how it can assist in a child’s medical journey and emotional well-being. However, we do not grant wishes alone — we need YOUR help.
Who We Are

Every phase of the wish journey has proven physical and emotional benefits for a child facing a critical illness. Wish kids are energized by a wish. They can anticipate, describe, imagine, plan, and eventually rejoice in its fruition. In granting a child's wish, Make-A-Wish provides children and their families with a chance to forget about the pain and fear caused by an illness, and instead focus on the joy of having dreams come true.
A wish is an experience that transforms lives - not just for our wish kids, but for donors, volunteers and the community - restoring optimism and strength when it's needed the most.
