Musical Arts Society of New Orleans

MASNO'S mission is 1) to create opportunities to hear, participate in, and appreciate performances of the musical arts by established and emerging artists; 2) to encourage the development of supportive, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic audiences for concerts presented by the Musical Arts Society and other musical organizations; 3) to nurture the development of talent; 4) to champion music education.

The Musical Arts Society of New Orleans has proudly served its community since 1980, by providing opportunities to hear the world's finest musicians while supporting both established and emerging artists and nurturing young talent through musical education initiatives. With showcases of musicians from all disciplines, MASNO provides a haven where music lovers are celebrated, and new talents can blossom to their fullest potential.

In 2026, we continue presenting more wonderful programs including the upcoming Gauthier Family Spring Concert ft. New Orleans' own Oscar Rossiginoli and his Trio, our Le Petit Salon Concert Series, our annual Bachtoberfest, our beloved NOCTURNE gala fundraiser with the acclaimed pianist Emanuel Ax, and our summer educational program for students - the New Orleans Piano Institute & Keyboard Festival. Most excitedly, we anticipate the presentation of our 30th New Orleans International Piano Competition this coming July which will premiere a commissioned work by New Orleans composer Courtney Bryan and also feature an orchestral performance with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra as part of the competition's Final Round.

The International Piano Competition has put New Orleans on the map in the world of classical music and continues to build bridges from our musically rich city to others worldwide. It is an incredible experience for emerging artists throughout the world while giving them opportunity to be heard on the international stage, and also for our local community of music lovers, musicians, young pianists, educators, musical institutions and organizations giving them connection to these artist and all of the contacts and networking worldwide. It has helped to launch many a successful musical career, expose supportive audiences to incredible talent, and form strong educational bonds for our young students and those mentored by these competitors in future years, all while building and upholding New Orleans' musical culture and landscape. It truly is at the core of our mission.
