PROUDLY SUPPORTING A VIBRANT MUSIC COMMUNITY AND THE ARTISTS VITAL TO ITS FUTURE
For 46 years, the Musical Arts Society of New Orleans, home of the New Orleans International Piano Competition, has united artists and audiences through a shared love of music. We dedicate ourselves to making the most of our funding to educate, enrich, and entertain, while celebrating New Orleans’s vibrant culture and sharing its artistic beauty with the world. Through vital sponsorships, philanthropic support, and enthusiastic patrons, we can all continue to be an instrument for good — building upon its legacy by providing both artists and students an opportunity to perform for appreciative audiences and to further develop skills and their artistic discipline within a comfortable and supportive environment.
BE AN INSTRUMENT FOR GOOD AND A SYMPHONY OF SUPPORT
The Musical Arts Society of New Orleans has proudly served its community since 1980, by providing opportunities to hear the world's finest musicians while supporting both established and emerging artists and nurturing young talent through musical education initiatives. With showcases of musicians from all disciplines, MASNO provides a haven where music lovers are celebrated, and new talents can blossom to their fullest potential.
A MISSION MOVING MUSIC FORWARD
In 2026, we continue presenting more wonderful programs including our recent Gauthier Family Spring Concert ft. New Orleans' own Oscar Rossiginoli and his Trio, our Le Petit Salon Concert Series, our annual Bachtoberfest, our beloved NOCTURNE gala fundraiser with the acclaimed pianist Emanuel Ax, and our summer educational program for students - the New Orleans Piano Institute & Keyboard Festival. Most excitedly, we anticipate the presentation of our 30th New Orleans International Piano Competition this coming July which will premiere a commissioned work by New Orleans composer Courtney Bryan and also feature orchestral performances with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra as part of the competition's Final Round.
30TH NEW ORLEANS INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION
For young talent and emerging artists throughout the world, the New Orleans International Piano Competition provides the opportunity to be heard on the international stage. It brings together our local community of music lovers and musicians with young pianists, educators, musical institutions and organizations to help launch many successful musical careers, all while building and upholding New Orleans' musical culture and landscape. It truly is at the core of our mission.
I am forever grateful to MASNO. Winning the New Orleans International Piano Competition in 2024 marked a turning point in my career, greatly enriching my artistic journey and expanding my profile. The many performance opportunities offered me invaluable exposure and shaped my growth as a solo artist. Just as meaningful was the warmth and support I received from the New Orleans community.
