Mayday Pit Bull Rescue & Advocacy has one mission...to help the most vulnerable...the least adoptable...the most in need. We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating dogs with extreme medical, behavioral and special needs from across the United States and around the world. We don't take in easy dogs. For that reason, we don't do high volume rescue. We serve a very niche population in dire need. We believe they deserve a chance. If you believe with us, please choose Mayday on AZ Gives Day.

Rescue & Rehabilitation of extreme medical/behavioral and special needs dogs
Our dogs are huge spirits with huge challenges: cancer, megaesophagus, paralysis, blind/deaf, traumatic injuries, neurological issues, amputations, grave illnesses, extreme fear issues, emotional and physical wounds from dog fighting, severe abuse and neglect. With your help, they survive and thrive and make their way to loving homes.

Your donations go directly to our dogs and provide:
**Emergency and extensive medical care
**Specialty vet visit with oncologists, neurologists, physical therapists, etc.
**Life changing equipment like wheeled carts to help them walk, specialized beds for incontinent dogs and so much more
**Extensive and targeted training to help them overcome the behavior issues that prevent adoption
**Long term foster care and maintenance medical care while our dogs rehabilitate

Casa de Mayday
Our small shelter dedicated to dogs that are not appropriate for a traditional, multi-dog foster home. In the Casa de Mayday environment we are able to provide these dogs with consistent care and training, socialization, individual exercise and play time and specialized, long term care.

Partners in the fight against Dogfighting, Hoarding, Abuse, Neglect
We partner with national and international animal welfare agencies to assist victims of dog fighting, hoarding and severe abuse and neglect.

Education & Advocacy
We develop and deliver educational programs focused on humane treatment of companion animals, anti-dogfighting, ending BSL, promoting a positive image of pit bulls, spay/neuter and educating youth about proper pet care.
