Since 1987, MCG Jazz has been offering a live subscription-based concert series for jazz performance. MCG Jazz, the winner of five GRAMMY(r) Awards, presents an average of 40 public performances each year with 20 headlining artists, the majority of which are in Allegheny County. MCG Jazz also presents educational activities that range from master classes and lectures/demonstrations to interactive performance opportunities for youth throughout the region in conjunction with concerts.
