Mental Health Association of Fauquier

The Mental Health Association of Fauquier County is a grassroots, nonprofit organization with a long history of advocating for high quality and accessible mental health services in Fauquier and Rappahannock counties. MHAFC's core mission is to increase awareness of mental health issues and resources, to decrease the stigma that sadly is often still associated with mental health challenges, and to assure timely access to treatment and supports when needed.

MHAFC seeks to be a catalyst for change by collaborating with many other local organizations and engaging the whole community to promote mental wellness for all.

With your help, MHAFC can continue to:

• Promote and provide Mental Health First Aid classes and other educational workshops (we've trained over 3,000 people so far!)
• Provide leadership for the Youth and Family Initiative to combat substance use, addiction, and mental health problems
• Work with the Fauquier Free Clinic, the local medical community, mental health providers, and other partners to integrate mental health treatment and physical health care in our community
• Provide information and referral for families seeking behavioral health care
