Miss Greater Hazleton Scholarship Organization

The mission of the Miss Greater Hazleton Scholarship Organization (MGHSO) strives to provide opportunities to S.E.R.V.E. (Scholarships, Education, Responsibility, Volunteerism & Empowerment) within the region. Our goal is to give our youth and young women opportunities for self-development and options for unique family events in the community.  MGHSO serves as mentoring program in the Hazleton Area instilling values of community service and giving back to the community to make a difference, being involved in and supporting the performing arts and furthering your education. Service organizations are struggling to recruit adults to volunteer and aid in their initiatives. By encouraging youth involvement and assisting them to prepare for their futures, we are preparing the next generations of leaders and changemakers. 

MGHSO helps participants to gain confidence, grow personally, improve interview and public speaking skills, develop a resume, take pride in health and wellness, share their talent while supporting the performing arts, gain scholarship opportunitues and excel in service regardless of gender.
