Consumers Council focuses on creating a world where utility bills are affordable, banking opportunities are offered equitably, and healthcare services are available for all.

We believe that Missourians should not be priced out of their ability to afford regular access to heat, electricity, water, and sewer services. We work hard to reduce what communities who have long been the target of structural oppression spend on basic energy. We have not only saved Missourian utility ratepayers millions of dollars but have also expanded and maintained customer assistance programs for people who have low-income.

We believe that equity in banking and lending leads to equity in homeownership, equity in wealth building, and investments that create thriving communities. As an active member of the St. Louis Equal Housing and Community Reinvestment Alliance (“SLEHCRA”), we work collaboratively to ensure that area banks are meeting the requirements of the Community Reinvestment Act.

We believe that all in Missouri should have access to affordable healthcare. We oppose the privatization of Medicare and have advocated in support of Medicaid expansion in Missouri.

If you value our efforts to level the playing field for Missouri consumers, please donate today.
