Montgomery Area Public Library is a vibrant community hub serving readers, learners, and families of all ages. More than just a place to borrow books, MAPL is a welcoming space where neighbors gather, children discover a love of reading, teens find creative outlets, and adults connect through lifelong learning.

We offer programs for every age group, expand our collection through grants and community support, and provide access to technology and resources that strengthen our entire community. From storytime and STEM activities to book clubs and creative workshops, our library is a place where curiosity grows and connections are built.

As a small rural library, we rely on the generosity of our community to continue improving our space, expanding our services, and meeting the evolving needs of Montgomery and the surrounding area. Every donation helps ensure that MAPL remains a safe, welcoming, and inspiring place for years to come.

Who We Are

We are a small but mighty public library serving the Montgomery community with heart, creativity, and commitment. We are neighbors helping neighbors, staff who wear many hats, volunteers who care deeply, and patrons who believe in the power of books and connection.

We are storytime giggles, teen creativity, book club debates, and quiet corners for focused study. We are new readers discovering their first chapter book and lifelong learners chasing their next great read.

We are a safe space, a resource center, and a gathering place — built by and for our community.
