MOTHERS OF MURDERED ANGELS

A nonprofit organization

MOMA interview Mothers of Murdered Angles (MOMA) is a Texas based Organization 501ce Non-profit. Our goal is stopping Gun Violence. MOMA Mission is to advocate for victims rights and justice.

Allow me to introduce myself, I am Melinda Hamilton, a retiree former employee of United

Parcel Service (UPS) National Accounts. Initially returning home to care for my mother, there I saw

so many drug ravaged houses in the neighborhood with terrified seniors were afraid to come out of

their homes. Noticed nothing was being done in the area. April 2013, I became a community advocate

for the East Fort Worth area helping others. I was awarded numerous awards for Community work.

MOMA is personal and emotional to me. With the loss  on February 6th 2020 my grandson 19 years getting ready to go to the Air Force was killed by gun violence (3 bullies). June 6th 2018 my daughter 25 years old drive by shooting. March 18, 1980 my brother 26 yrs old killed by estranged ex-wife. March 6, 2020.  I had enough, the gun violence was out of control. It seemed to be carelessly spreading throughout our communities. I started Mother’s Of Murdered Angels (MOMA) a nonprofit 501c3. Mission and goal is to stop gun violence and advocate for victim’s rights and justice to those who lost love ones.

Our organization has assisted many families during crisis (funeral arrangements, financial, counseling, court hearing, trauma and other resources).

Our Needs

Mothers of Murdered Angels (MOMA), supports survivors and their families through the

aftermath of a crime involving a firearms. Our Foundation eases the financial impact placed

upon survivors as a result of gun violence. Gun violence in America is ever-present and shows

no prejudice. Survivors often need physical and/or mental health care, assistance with funeral

expenses, assistance with court information, counseling, grieving sessions and continuous

support for families. While the yearly death toll involving firearms has not declined over the past

few years, there are still countless unsuspecting bystanders caught in the deadly crossfire. A

bullet does not discriminate, does not have its own agenda, and impacts innocent people

regardless of race, gender, or class.
