Mother Teresa Shelter Inc.

The mission of Mother Teresa Shelter is to provide comprehensive, community-based outreach services to persons experiencing homelessness, by creating opportunities that will help break the cycle of homelessness.

"Break the Cycle of Homelessness." The primary purpose of Mother Teresa Shelter, Inc. is to serve persons experiencing homelessness in Corpus Christi.

Our comprehensive services include day shelter, two meals a day, showers and laundering facilities, personal lockers, an address to receive mail, providing seasonal appropriate clothing/shoes, a Multi-Purpose Activity and Therapeutic Center, counseling services, and case management.

Under the operational umbrella of the shelter, we have the Mother Teresa Transitional Housing for Men. This facility offers a 24-month period of stabilization, while residents work on securing long-term housing. The on-site Transitional House Manager supports residents with these preparations, including assistance in completing paperwork, coordination of workshops, developing social skills, and working towards goals of self-sufficiency.

Our vision is to implement the fundamental components of a Continuum of Care System with the hope that all persons experiencing homelessness will regain their dignity and stability.
