Mission Statement: "MVI strengthens the Mon Valley region by responsibly investing in our people and places." We are carrying out our mission by: -Working together with local residents and stakeholders; -Providing career & financial coaching to individuals; -Developing residential & commercial properties; -Delivering technical assistance services to our partners.

MVI is a regional community development corporation, formed in 1988, working with local advisory groups and serving over a dozen municipalities in the Monongahela River Valley. This area, outside of Pittsburgh, is still struggling to recover from the losses of jobs, people, and tax base after major industries left the region over thirty years ago. Our career development and financial coaching services are assisting hundreds of people to obtain employment and improve their financial situation each year. MVI's real estate development work is providing high quality and very affordable rental and homeownership opportunities to our neighbors.
