To foster hope, renewal, healing and wellness for those who face the challenges of mental health, substance use disorders and developmental disabilities. Mon Yough Community Services, Inc. (MYCS) has been among the leaders in providing quality community health care services in the Mon Valley since its establishment in 1969.

In times such as this, we take stock of the lives and situations we encounter or even personally experience on a daily basis. I do not know of anyone who has not been affected by the current climate of mental health and/or substance use issues. It could be a family member, friend, colleague or acquaintance who suffers in silence. Or, if they are very lucky, seek and find treatment and refuge in a place like MYCS. It should not be easier to find drugs than it is to find help.
Our staff has embraced the concept of whole person care at every level. Beginning with a phone call to the front desk, extending through the treatment and billing services, we have instituted a culture of World Class Customer Care that is founded on the belief that every consumer deserves the best we can deliver-all day, every day.
MYCS provides a variety of reliable and proven services to the McKeesport and Mon Valley area that include Mental Health, services for persons with Developmental Disabilities and Substance Use issues. Our comprehensive service continuum ranges from outpatient therapy to residential services, vocational training and psychosocial rehabilitation.
The future of MYCS is becoming more expansive as the role of care evolves and expands to whole person care. Whether it be in Mental Health Outpatient Services, Residential & Vocational Programs, Drug & Alcohol or Children's services, we are taking extraordinary steps to collaborate on all aspects of care to over 6,000 people in the Mon Valley annually along with our staff of over 350, to become a Center of Excellence.

Thank You in Recovery

I give this to all of you.
A winter's smile wrapped upon my being.
You were good to me like spring dew.
But the time is revolving where wings can stretch.
And you kept my "oh so" secrets and wrong-doings chained.
Your council confidence in me is stronger than the pencil I clench.
As I recall there were many who helped along my laboring, crater-like steps to recovery.
Faces flash with mixes of their good, nurturing words.
I may have had some favorites that worked hard with me bravely.
Yet through every ones' honesty, including your honesty: I would not be cured.
The duality of this is as cold as winter's dark teeth.
So a choice to take your "pill" was clear as your word.
I must say thank you to every one for my present clarity.
Even though my season has yet to unfold at hand, I must say again thank you all.
Thank you for the wisdom to know that my recovery is up to me.
