My New Leaf, Inc.

Our mission is to identify individuals and families affected by substance use disorders/justice involved youth in need of help who are often afraid or unwilling to seek out traditional modalities of care. We engage individuals and families on their terms and offer a variety of services at no cost. Our centers work with Westmoreland County Drug and Alcohol Commission, Southwestern PA Health Services, area healthcare facilities, hospitals and other Westmoreland County human service providers.

We offer individual and family recovery coaching services that offer an "all pathways" approach to recovery. We have aligned our free peer coaching services , Westmoreland County Drug and Alcohol Commission personnel, who provide on-site assessment services and follow up mental health care. The case managers fast track insurance assessment and provide on-demand Certified Recovery Specialists from SPHS Behavioral Health in Greensburg.and Sages Army In Irwin. We have arranged confidential record sharing with SPHS with the permission of the client (HIPAA) to assist in follow-up care by our coaches. We provide free transportation for those without access to emergency care.

Our volunteer management team is trained to provide free Narcan and we hold periodic recovery training events for the community.

We have a two year study of our software application suite of products with adelphoi Village Inc. funded by the Westmoreland and Pittsburgh foundation The purpose of our Octapp technology applications is to help transform development planning processes by facilitating structured management of goals, requirements, and potential rewards and enabling clear communication between Administrators, Educators/Counselors, Juvenile Justice Workers, Youth, and their Families.

Monies raised by this Pittsburgh Gives campaign will be used to acquire small performance based rewards based on contingency management principles.

Our apps are designed to deliver well-tailored goals and opportunities to youth, Octapp promotes communication through the following features:

● Journaling: Free-form, Personal, or Prompted by Educators/Counselors
● Daily Self-Evaluations: Easy sliding scales for relative behavioral and mood tracking across customizable sets of facets.
● Personal Goals: Self-tracked goal management with calendar integrations and notification reminders.
● Development Plans: Educator/counselor created organizational tool that simplifies, shares, and makes it easy to check status and progress.
● Goals and Action Items: Calendar-integrated system for setting reminders.
● Rewards: Earn currencies designed to engage and motivate.
● Homework: Specify digitized homework assignments to do prior to meetings.
● Comments: Discuss meetings, goals, progress, and rewards in-app.
● Community Mapping: Create and explore resources and events in your area.

Each of these features have customizable privacy permissions describing which pieces of information supporters and Educator/Counselors/JPO's can and cannot see. Each feature also has a comment thread for discussion around clarification, progress, or whatever else may arise during the course of completion.

Our collaborative development planning services are designed to provide the youth with directed opportunities for positive growth.
