Winter is Coming!

The Nathaniel Mission is experiencing an unprecedented surge in requests for assistance as many face delayed or unpaid SNAP benefits, colder temperatures, and the urgent need for safe shelter at Lexington’s 216-bed Emergency Winter Weather Shelter on Versailles Road across from The Nathaniel Mission.

Since 1940, The Nathaniel Mission has been a constant presence of supportive services to those in need in urban Lexington. For generations, we have been at the forefront of changing lives along the Versailles Road Corridor. The Nathaniel Mission changes our neighbors’ lives, one act of compassion at a time. We believe in simple, consistent services that have a big impact.  So we invest in relationships with our neighbors built on trust that restores both the individual and transforms the community. While we offer a wide variety of opportunities to our neighbors, at the core of it all is our desire to see every vulnerable neighbor experience love, hope, and purpose. Every meal served, canned good donated, coat purchased, or hour volunteered makes a real difference in the lives of our most vulnerable neighbors in Lexington.  Your support will keep our friends fed, clothed, warm, and safe this winter!
