Our Needs

NMSI is committed to providing a comprehensive approach to increase teacher effectiveness and student achievement while producing sustainable results. NMSI's Laying the Foundation Teacher Training Program equips educators with the content knowledge and instructional know-how they need to set high classroom expectations and shift students to advanced levels of thinking and learning. NMSI's College Readiness Program addresses the critical gap in our country's foundational knowledge and skills in math and science by partnering with schools to dramatically increase the number of students taking and earning qualifying scores on Advanced Placement math, science, and English exams, while expanding access to rigorous coursework to traditionally under-represented students. Through a partnership with the UTeach Institute at the University of Texas at Austin, NMSI has expanded the highly successful UTeach STEM teach
