North County LGBTQ Resource Center

Increasing anti-LGBTQ+ legislation targets all of us, no matter where we live. At the North County LGBTQ+ Resource Center our voices rise together with others to denounce hateful legislation, the stripping away of human rights, and the efforts to erase our authentic identities.

Your continued support allows our advocacy work to continue, including: 

• Fighting discriminatory legislation

• Standing up at school board meetings to protect our youth and raise their voices

• Educating public agencies and strengthening social justice partnerships

• Supporting community members who are targets of hate and discrimination

• Voter registration drives

Our mission is to serve, empower, and advocate for North County's diverse LGBTQ community.

We envision a community where everyone lives in equality, feeling accepted, valued, safe and free from social stigma.

We are a 501(c)3 organization serving the LGBTQI community in North County San Diego and beyond.

Your donations save lives and change hearts every single day, and 80¢ of every dollar goes directly into advocacy and programs that help our local LGBTQ communities. Your ongoing support ensures we can continue to offer vital support to our community. OUR STORY

Through the vision, dedication, and hard work of our supporters, the North County LGBTQ Resource Center became a reality in November 2011. We come together to share ideas, resources, and expand our presence in the local community. We envision the Resource Center as a visible symbol of the LGBTQ community in North County San Diego. The Resource Center continues to support, build, educate, and improve the relationships of the LGBTQ community and our friends and allies.  

We are also dedicated to supporting and leading social conversations and actions that demand equality, equity, and justice for all people; and end to systemic racism and white-supremacy; and the humane treatment of refugees, immigrants, native populations, and historically marginalized communities.

Through your support, we're able to provide important services including support groups for youth, seniors, and military service members; HIV/AIDS testing and prevention; counseling, and civil rights advocacy, classes, and work groups. Our service area includes the communities of Encinitas, Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, Escondido, Rancho Bernardo, Fallbrook, Camp Pendleton, and other outlying areas. 

Our programs bring much needed information, resources, and support to our communities. 

80 cents of every dollar we received goes to directly support our programs. Programs like Unicorn Homes, which provides emergency shelter for LGBTQ youth who may otherwise find themselves on the streets and without support. Or programs like GAP, the Gender Advocacy Project, that provides community and resources for our transgender, non-binary, gender fluid, or other questioning individuals. These programs, and so many others, save lives and your support makes them possible.
