Nebraska Youth Center

It is the intent of the Nebraska Youth Center residential program to provide a safe, nurturing environment where a youth in "crisis" can find acceptance and redirection to assist them in resolving issues. We strive to provide opportunities to positively change behavior patterns that will outline their future. Young people are encouraged to discover a purpose and positive direction for their life that will allow them to function successfully within the mainstream of society.

The residents of the Nebraska Youth Center are guided through a daily schedule to allow for their educational needs, teach independent and social skills. The administration also works with outside agencies within the community to set up opportunities for the youth to participate in community service, out to eat, activities to promote social skills and positive ties to the community, therapy, doctors, etc.

Testimonials

Some of the youth that come into our facility come do not have the knowledge or the resources to learn about appropriate independent living skills and appropriate social skills within their home setting. The Nebraska Youth Center teaches and encourages the youth to consistently utilize the appropriate skills necessary to succeed in mainstream society. The Nebraska Youth Center also encourages the youth to consistently follow a daily routine in order to provide stability to the youth which includes an emphasis on education in schools and within the community.
