Newberry Academy

Newberry Academy is a 2K-12th Grade college preparatory school of academic excellence that values the faith and traditions of the Judeo-Christian experience. Our school's goal is to provide a challenging curriculum that offers qualified students the opportunity to develop a lifelong pursuit of knowledge in a safe and nurturing environment.

Newberry Academy has always strived to be a school that would bring out the best in every child. It is with great pride that we have celebrated our 50-year anniversary this past year, honoring those who have cared so much about children and supported their dreams and hopes for our school. Parents, teachers, and our entire community have joined together through the years to become our extended Newberry Academy family. Many of our parents were once students themselves here, and we are honored that they now entrust us with educating their own children.

We continue to be the school of choice in Newberry County for parents seeking a college preparatory education for their children in a safe and nurturing environment. Children join our Eagles family starting in Grade 2K and progress through to 12th Grade, enjoying a 9 to 1 student/teacher ratio which allows for a more personalized approach to their educational growth and development. We are proud of our wide variety of extracurricular programs, which range from academic competition teams to community service organizations to interscholastic athletics, all providing our students with wonderful social and competitive opportunities. Sports such as football, basketball, cross country, swimming and baseball give every student a chance to participate, and our teams have been honored with many state championships over the last 10 years.

The hard work and dedication of so many have made Newberry Academy who we are today. A lot has changed over these past 50 years. However one thing has not changed. Our purpose: to be a place where children are inspired to learn and where they thrive as individuals; a place filled with young people who care about each other and about making the world a better place. A place they can call home.
