New Orleans Black Pride

A nonprofit organization

Promoting diversity, equity, and positive change in the New Orleans Black LGBTQ+ community. At New Orleans Black Pride, our mission is to celebrate and uplift the rich diversity and accomplishments of the Black LGBTQ+ community in New Orleans. We aim to promote equitable initiatives for all community members by fostering a supportive and empowering environment. Through organizing cultural events, educational workshops on LGBTQ+ rights, and advocacy efforts.

New Orleans Black Pride is a dynamic, community-driven movement celebrating and uplifting Black LGBTQ+ individuals through culture, advocacy, and empowerment. More than just a Pride weekend, it is a year-round initiative dedicated to HIV advocacy, harm reduction, youth empowerment, mental and physical wellness, social justice, and reproductive rights. The annual Pride celebration, scheduled for June 12-15, 2025, marks its five-year anniversary with the theme Black to the Future, highlighting Afrofuturism, tech, art, culture, and financial growth. Events include the Queer Summit, festival, parade, nightlife events, and the Madd Hatter Mardi Gras Ball. In 2024, over 7,500 attendees participated, with the goal of doubling that in 2025. Sponsorships range from $2,500 to $75,000, with top-tier branding opportunities. Through advocacy, education, and celebration, New Orleans Black Pride creates intentional spaces for Black and Brown LGBTQ+ individuals while fostering community support and empowerment.
