New Orleans Children's Chorus

The New Orleans Children's Chorus is dedicated to the development of artistry in every child. Through the singing of high quality music the singers develop self-confidence, discipline, and social skills as well as musical knowledge. No child who truly wants to sing is ever turned away.

New Orleans Children's Chorus offers four ensembles for young people based on age and experience, as well as an Alumni Chorus. NOCC seeks to provide a community for children who love to sing and perform - a place where they can find "their people" and grow as musicians. Previous experience and outstanding talent are not required, as we believe that singing and musical artistry are skills that can be learned. Tuition reductions and scholarships based on need are available.

We present three concerts per year and appear at other events. In May of 2022, our advanced choir performed with professional orchestra at Carnegie Hall, under the direction of NOCC Artistic Director Emeritus, Cheryl Dupont. NOCC is in its 41st successful year and enjoys a national reputation for excellence.

All donations are greatly appreciated, as it helps us continue to rebuild our programs in the aftermath of the covid pandemic, as well as provide as many need based scholarships for singers as possible.
