Next Step Community Solutions is the leader in school-based mental health services and community substance misuse prevention. We serve school-aged youth to help them navigate life's difficulties, reach their potential, and ultimately live healthier and more fulfilling lives. We are honored to be the first in Texas to implement Sources of Strength in schools, a best-practice youth suicide prevention program. Suicide is the second leading cause of death in adolescents in the state of Texas. Sources of Strength aims to break codes of secrecy among students, promote help-seeking behavior, foster healthy peer-to-adult relationships, and build resiliency among youth.
