New Life Community Church

A nonprofit organization

New Life Community Church (NLCC) was established in Tyler, TX in 1996 with a mission to "Serve Hope to Strengthen Individuals, Families, and Communities" and "Mold Members Into Ministers."

First Lady Denise Sanders Robertson served alongside her husband, Dr. Vernon M. Robertson, at New Life Community Church for 26 years, until her death on March 14, 2023. They founded Hold Your Hope Ministries, a service-based ministry that promotes the business of clergy and religious workers, and Girl Talk, which is an outlet to mentor and encourage young ladies. She traveled throughout the United States and Jamaica as a missionary for the cause of Christ. Lady Robertson served under the tutelage of Dr. Mark Hanby and Dr. Karen D. Taylor, who both serve the body of Christ globally.

Lady Denise wrote children's curriculum for Kidz for the Kingdom, a ministry at NLCC. She also wrote manuals for the ministry to support leadership training, and the NLCC Kindred Spirit women's ministry. When it comes to conquering cancer, our First Lady was a fighter. She spoke to cancer organizations such as Swim Across America and also authored blogs for Baylor Hospital about her life and the challenges she faced because of her illness.

Lady Denise received an Associate of Arts degree in Multicultural Women's Studies at Dallas College and a Bachelor of Religious Education from Living Word College.
