New Orleans Chamber Orchestra

A nonprofit organization

The New Orleans Chamber Orchestra is committed to enriching our musical community by presenting concerts of the highest quality featuring the areas finest musicians in works of local interest, including those of New Orleans composers. Founded by Phillip Larroque and Maxim Samarov the New Orleans Chamber Orchestra debuted in the summer of 2016. The fully professional ensemble presents a summer season of concerts and an annual composition competition as well as outreach concerts.

The New Orleans Chamber Orchestra is poised to announce its 8th summer season of professional orchestral concerts. These continue our commitment to supporting local composers and premiering new works as well as presenting rarely heard music connected to our region. We are excited to premier a concerto for Timpani by Jerry Sieg, and a guitar concerto by Maxim Samarov in 2024.

NOCO is also proud to present its Restoration Through Music program in partnership with Operation Restoration, uplifting the incarcerated through music. We are also preparing to announce an ambitious new project to commission composers from near and far to set selections of poetry from incarcerated women to music.
