NOLA Tree Project

A nonprofit organization

Nola Tree Project empowers volunteers to transform lives and communities through Tree Planting, Environmental, and Community Service Projects!

Our innovative programs include:
BIG TREESY GIVEAWAYS
Each year we give away 4,000 Free Trees to residents, and provide education on tree planting, care, and importance, at 9 Big TREEsy Giveaways, in all 5 New Orleans City Council Districts and parishes that have sustained tree losses from hurricanes.

URBAN FORESTRY PROGRAM
We are increasing our urban canopy by planting trees on public green spaces, in parks, and neighborhoods across the city. Since Hurricane Katrina we have planted and provided 86,612 trees in the Greater New Orleans area.

#GREAUXHEALTHYKIDS SCHOOLYARD & COMMUNITY ORCHARD PROGRAM
We plant organic fruit orchards & gardens in schools, on vacant lots, and at community centers across the city.
