New Orleans Bulldog Rescue

New Orleans Bulldog Rescue (NOBR) is an all-breed dog rescue and advocacy organization, dedicated to furthering the human-canine bond, and advocating for the welfare of dogs in New Orleans and beyond. NOBR is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible, greatly appreciated, and 100% go directly to animal care.

In addition to the rescue and rehabilitation of abused, neglected, and abandoned dogs, New Orleans Bulldog Rescue also runs the Canine Aid & Pleasure Club. The Club coordinates volunteer activities, social events, and fundraisers throughout the year in which all dog-friendly people and dogs are welcome! Highlights include the Mystic Krewe of Barkus Parade, happy hours, and participating in local festivals, such as Po Boy Fest and Pet Fest. The Canine Aid & Pleasure Club also coordinates our world famous annual New Orleans Bulldog Rescue Calendar.

New Orleans Bulldog Rescue also runs the Safe Haven program, which provides temporary fostering to the pets of those leaving domestic violence situations. Sadly, many victims are unable to leave dangerous situations because they have nowhere to bring their pet, or are afraid of losing the pet during the tumultuous transition. Meanwhile, there is a strong correlation between domestic violence and animal cruelty, meaning pets also remain in danger. We partner with local support programs and shelters, and utilize our existing network of foster homes.
