CAPOEIRA & BRAZILIAN CULTURAL ARTS CENTER INC

The Capoeira & Brazilian Cultural Arts Center (CBCAC) is dedicated to promoting Afro-Brazilian culture in New Orleans through the art of Capoeira. Our mission is to use Capoeira as a transformative tool to enhance health, wellness, kindness, self-respect, and self-confidence for individuals of all ages and abilities across the greater New Orleans area. One of our signature programs, Distinctive Warriors, provides an inclusive space for youth with diverse abilities to build confidence, strength, and community through Capoeira.

In addition to offering a variety of classes, CBCAC serves as a safe, inclusive space where youth can explore music, arts, physical education, and cultural heritage, fostering personal growth and community connection. CBCAC is the nonprofit branch of Arte Reviver Capoeira New Orleans.

Youth Capoeira Classes

We offer classes for kids starting at age 4! Kids and teens get a fantastic workout that improves flexibility, coordination, cooperation, strength, and endurance all while having fun!

Capoeira Youth Scholarship Program

Our youth scholarship program assists youth/families who are interested in practicing the art form but may not have the resources to pay the full monthly fees. We have expanded our scholarship program to be available to youth/families to participate in our annual cultural exchange events, as well. Our main focus for this GiveNOLA Day is to build our scholarship program.

Portuguese Classes

In February 2026, we began a new Portuguese language series for teens and adults that is open to the public. We plan to expand this offering to youth in the coming months!
