New Orleans Military and Maritime Academy (NOMMA) is an "A" rated Type 2 charter high school serving students in grades 8-12 in the New Orleans Metropolitan area. Students at NOMMA study in a focused, college preparatory environment guided by a team of teachers and retired military instructors who bring unparalleled experience to the classroom. All NOMMA students are cadets of the Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (MCJROTC).

Founded in 2011, the New Orleans Military and Maritime Academy (NOMMA) empowers a diverse student body of over 1,000 with a rigorous curriculum that bridges academic excellence and career readiness. With a 94% graduation rate, our students consistently outperform state and city averages on AP, ACT, and LEAP tests, demonstrating remarkable resilience and capability. NOMMA, a celebrated "Naval Honor School," integrates leadership and character education through its distinguished MCJROTC program, fostering community service, citizenship, and personal development. Our cadets benefit from targeted career pathways in Maritime, Arts, Business Management, and IT, equipped with industry certifications that pave the way for high-wage jobs or further education in STEM fields. Approximately 80% of our cadets are economically disadvantaged, coming from six different parishes.
