This NEPA Gives, Northeast Sight Services is cooking up something special—and we need your help to bring it to life.

We’re in the process of transforming our on-site education kitchen, a critical space where individuals who are blind or visually impaired come to learn, grow, and gain independence. In this kitchen, clients of all ages build the skills they need to live confidently—whether it's preparing a meal, navigating a stovetop safely, or organizing their kitchen tools in a way that works for them.

But a beautiful, renovated space is only the beginning.

To make it truly functional and empowering, we need to stock it with the adaptive tools and technology that meet the specific needs of those we serve. These tools—like talking cooktops, high-contrast cutting boards, and tactile measuring sets—aren’t just kitchen gadgets. They’re confidence-builders. Life-simplifiers. Freedom-enablers.

Every item we add to this kitchen becomes part of a hands-on experience that helps someone cook a favorite dish again, learn to pack a lunch independently, or feel confident inviting friends and family over for a meal. These moments may seem small—but for someone navigating life with vision loss, they’re transformative.

This NEPA Gives, we’re inviting our community to help us fully stock this space by “sponsoring” key items through six giving levels. Your donation will directly fund the purchase of tools listed above.
