For over 95 years, the North Platte Concert Association has presented a diversity of regional, national, and international performances that educate, engage, and entertain the communities that we serve. The "Greater Artist Series" was organized in the late 1930's by a group of residents who appreciated the performing arts and dreamed of the opportunity to experience them in our community. The local board of directors works with Allied Concert Services of Minneapolis, MN to provide talent for the series. We have also worked with Nebraska Arts Council and Arts Across Nebraska-Lied Center for the Performing Arts when selecting artists.
Notable artists who have performed in North Platte have included: Isaac Stern, Victor Borge, Ferrante and Teicher, the Vienna Boys Choir, Maynard Ferguson, Arthur Rubenstein, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, the Montovani Orchestra, Riders in the Sky, Sons of the Pioneers, and the Canadian Brass. This season, 2022-2023, we are looking forward to some wonderful tribute bands highlighting the music of James Taylor, Simon & Garfunkel, and Chicago. Because of the interest and generosity of the people of west-central Nebraska, the North Platte Concert Association presents very talented artists who are the stars of tomorrow!
We rely solely on our season members, corporate sponsors, and Giving Day proceeds to allow us to book 3-4 outstanding concerts per season. Your generous support enables the Association to bring quality performances to our community for all to enjoy, as we believe music is the universal language that brings people together of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures. The North Platte Concert Association's live performances ignite your imagination and delight your senses. We hope you will join us for our 2026-2027 season! Thank you for your generous support!
