The North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a hunger-relief organization that focuses on providing children, seniors and families access to nutritious foods. Through our more than 200 Partner Agencies, feeding programs and the help of our dedicated volunteers, we distribute more than 340,000 meals each day and million of pounds every week for hungry North Texans. The Food Bank serves 13 counties: Collin, Dallas, Delta, Denton, Ellis, Fannin, Grayson, Hopkins, Hunt, Kaufman, Lamar, Navarro and Rockwall.
Today, we ask you to partner with us for North Texas Giving Day. You can give early starting September 1, and donate on Giving Day, Thursday, September 23. Every $1 donated, provides access to 3 nutritious meals. Together, we can continue our work towards closing the hunger gap in North Texas. Our goal this Giving Day is to provide access to more than 3.6 million meals! With your support, we know we can meet this goal. We are thankful to have you join us in this important fight against hunger and appreciate your continued support.
The North Texas Food Bank believes no one should ever have to go hungry. We appreciate your interest in the North Texas Food Bank and our goal to provide food for today and hope for tomorrow. We are deeply grateful for your compassion and willingness to walk alongside us as our partners. The most urgent need of the food bank at this time is for unrestricted funding, which allows NTFB to more easily adjust our strategy to meet the current need.
We also have a need for in-kind donations of nutritious food. NTFB is asking for those who are able to consider doing a "Focused Food Drive" in which you would work to gather a single type of item to provide to NTFB. Our most needed items include: Canned tuna or chicken, peanut butter, cereal bar, and canned fruit in juice .
To drop off donations from your focused food drive visit us at our Perot Family Campus at 3677 Mapleshade Lane Plano Texas, 75075. Our hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
