Notes For Life A&T believes that if a student is introduced to not only arts education, but entrepreneurship and technology at an early age, the student is more likely to succeed once becoming an adult in any career they choose to pursue. We must continue to nurture our students as advancements in technology continue to occur every day, every week, and every year. As we've seen, when the technology evolves, so does the manner in which it must be taught. It is our mission to encourage participants to have a healthy self-esteem which will encourage them to pursue and conquer feats once thought to be too difficult or likely impossible just decades ago. The Notes For Life A&T curricula consists of historic lessons accompanied with real life experiences which prepare students for future opportunities in technological innovation and advancement. While every student that enrolls in our classes will not enter a career in the arts, become an entrepreneur, or work directly with technology innovation, the early exposure will benefit them, for life.
Our hands-on K-12 curricula are developed with our "Student First" approach. Through collaborative sessions, attending students are empowered not only by course material, but also through peer to peer knowledge exchange. When we started out in 2014 with 6 students, we wanted to provide an entertaining yet educational platform that kept each student first. Since then, we've grown to a national student impact of over 400,000 and our mission hasn't changed.
Since 2016, our My Blue blendLAB curriculum has provided a comfortable and engaging arts education and STEM-centered experience for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. As part of Autism Awareness month in April, we are introducing two innovative My Blue blendLAB workshops. The "Avengers for Autism" My Blue blendLAB will provide an engaging and educational session for children on various ends of the spectrum. While it will offer excitement, this My Blue blendLAB will also meet sensory-friendly standards, making it enjoyable for all participants. Additionally, we are equally excited to travel to Lagos, Nigeria to assist efforts and discoveries aimed at eradicating autism. Our "Sounds of Wakanda" My Blue blendLAB will provide an experience where students will create using sounds and instruments featured in the film Black Panther.
Imagine the power of combining creative storytelling and virtual reality. Fusing music production and drone operation. This summer, 24 high school students will create and share stories that can only be told by them. For 10 days they will eat, sleep, and breathe collaboration, technology, and innovation at St. Louis University. This life changing experience is LIFT OFF 2018.
Girls. Entrepreneurship. STEM. Power. What do these words have in common? They are the pillars of our RUN THE WORLD summer camp designed to introduce girls to STEM-related experiences and innovation such as Virtual Reality, Architecture, Voice Command, Artificial Intelligence, and Creative Storytelling. This 10 day experience will enhance the girls' knowledge and introduce them to career paths in architecture, entrepreneurship, graphic design, cyber security, and virtual reality.
