Oakwood Home for Women

Oakwood Home for Women is a non-profit halfway house that has been helping women to recover from alcohol and drug addiction for 50 years. Through the loving and structured care of the staff and board of directors, we have seen families restored and women overcome addiction to become productive members of the community.  These same women have gone on to share with other women the precious gift of sobriety they have received.  The women living here have expressed a sincere desire to change their lives with our guidance.

Although there is a small fee for room and board no woman is ever turned away for their inability to pay.  They are helped to find employment, get the medical care they need, assisted through legal matters, and helped with education through parenting classes, budgeting and so much more.
