One Stone Community Resources

Focused on community development, advancing equity, cultural empowerment and youth leadership in New Orleans. We have piloted numerous culturally rooted programs and through our artist residency program, and events we bring the community together, creating more opportunity for collective impact. We also offer support to other NPO's via grant writing, fundraising opportunities, cultural events, and consulting.

We believe in actively pursuing racial & economic equity, and nurturing our culture. Our goal is strengthening the connection between people to build healthy communities. Supporting artists and culture bearers creates culturally informed, locally led community development that not only enhances economies, but strengthens the city's ability to sustain and progress generations of cultural knowledge. We have participated in numerous culturally rooted and equity based programs. These experiences are the driving force behind our work, fellowships, and events. One Stone creates the space to bring our community together, creating more opportunity for collective impact.

One Stone Community Resources, a nonprofit 501(c)3. OSCR is focused on community development, advancing equity, cultural empowerment and youth leadership in Algiers, New Orleans primarily and throughout our city-wide community. Our primary project for 2021 is completing build-out of our office space and new location for artist residency in Algiers Point, New Orleans. Everything we raise through GiveNOLA Day will further this goal and open up opportunities for young people of color in undeserved communities to have a safe space to practice their craft and build connections in the art community in an equitable manner. We will cover lodging, networking events, and participation in gallery shows and community building events.
