Options For Independence

A nonprofit organization

The mission of Options for Independence as a private non-profit organization is to serve people who are facing barriers to living and working successfully in the community of their choice. Options for Independence brings together the resources of the individuals, their families & community organizations to provide services to improve their quality of life.

In 1992, the organization began a mission assisting individuals to live and work in the community of their choice. We currently serve youth between the ages of 3-18 years old. We use an evidence based model to deliver services in the home setting.

Options for Independence - is licensed through the Louisiana Department of Health. Donations made to the agency are tax deductible and will be used for the sole purpose of benefiting area youth and their families. Our goal is to provide high quality interventions to youth who have been referred for behavioral or emotional problems by the juvenile justice, mental health, school or child welfare systems.

GiveNOLA 2020 funds will be used to train and develop more staff to assist with the growning need for services in our area.

Our GiveNOLA 2018 goal is $5,000! Thanks in advance for your generosity and support.
