$2,000 Goal

Our Lady's Inn is a home for homeless pregnant women and their dependent children. Since 1982, we have offered around-the-clock shelter, in a private room setting. We provide for the immediate and basic needs of food, clothing and shelter and support families with case management and specialized programming. Longer-term solutions can be sought to address personal health, educational and psycho-social needs. Women in the residential program are supported by a Family Specialist, Nurse and Counselor along with an array of program support staff.

Residents share in household chores, learn life skills and establish a daily routine. They attend workshops and multi-session trainings which cover topics such as parenting, nutrition, employment readiness, educational preparedness, stress management, smoking cessation, pre-natal and post-natal care, mental health screening, budgeting, domestic violence prevention, child development, and building healthy relationships.

Resources for spiritual wholeness are offered and some transportation is provided. Field trips and some recreational activities are also incorporated into the lives of our families.

When it is time to leave the Inn, each family is offered two years of continued support through the Aftercare Program. Aftercare provides a continuity of care through case management, advocacy, referrals-including transitional and permanent housing, and material supports. Aftercare case managers work with families by visiting them in their homes or meeting with them at one of the three Aftercare locations. In the past 42 years, over 8,500 women and 10,000 children have called Our Lady's Inn home.
