Over-Flo Missions

We are a non-profit organization 501C3 faith based organization. Our purpose is to empower and rebuild the lives of homeless individuals and families with food insecurities by providing healthy meals, supportive services and other basic essentials that will give them hope to their circumstances. We believe in advocating, bringing awareness and taking action. Being a voice and helping our community with the hope of one day ending food insecurity in the world.

Over-Flo Missions has been helping the community since 2014 with our first project being to pass out frozen water bottles to the homeless community all over the Phoenix Metro.
Some of the highlights of our organization include starting a weekend backpack meal program at Imagine School East Mesa in partnership with the Giving Gang organization. During the 2017-2018 school year we distributed 1,792 weekend meals to 27 students. In 2018-2019 school year we had a 437% increase in the number of students receiving weekend meals. We started with 118 students and are now at 106 students, which is a decrease of 11%. So far for this year we distributed, in the past 16 weeks, 3,776 meals. With 11 weeks of school left, we are projecting to distribute 2,756 more weekend meals. In the future, we would like to introduce and assist two more schools in Mesa the benefits of starting a weekend meal program.
We are also impacting our community by preparing and serving meals to transitional shelters or partner with a church. We provided families with school supplies, and basic essentials (food boxes, hygiene bags, household supplies, holiday gifts). In addition, we continue to pass out water bottles (frozen in the summer months), snack bags, and socks to our homeless community.

Testimonials

I recall a story, where a mother was on an unpaid leave due to surgery. During the conversation she mentioned her daughter's backpack had broken. Everyday her daughter would ask her mom when she was getting new backpack. I told the young lady I would be back. I returned with two backpacks with school supplies and a food box. One for both of her children. The young lady was grateful and surprised.
It is important to us to meet people where they are. Over-Flo Missions received a call for a food box. The individual went to a food bank and they were closed, leaving the individual very upset and hungry. I advised the individual if we could provide her with a food box. The individual was excited, but did not have any gas to pick up the food box. We told her not to worry and said we will deliver the food box to her. Over-Flo Missions will go the extra mile to assist those in need.
