Pace Center for Girls—Miami provides girls and young women with opportunities for a better future through education, counseling, training, and advocacy.

Our Impact: Reach Therapy Program

For more than 11 years, Pace Center for Girls—Miami has supported girls and young women in Miami-Dade County through a comprehensive, girl-centered approach that addresses the academic, social-emotional, and personal barriers that can interfere with success.

Through our Reach Therapy Program, Pace brings accessible mental health services directly into the communities where girls live, learn, and grow. Reach provides individual, group, and family counseling and therapy for girls ages 11–17 in community-based settings. By establishing safe, trusting therapeutic relationships, Reach helps girls navigate mental health challenges, strengthen coping and interpersonal skills, identify and pursue personal goals, and overcome barriers to educational and personal success.

Reach is designed to meet girls where they are by reducing barriers to care and connecting girls with supportive services in community settings. This approach recognizes that mental health and educational success are deeply interconnected and that girls are better positioned to thrive when they have consistent access to trusted adults and a prosocial peer network.

Pace's broader model combines education, counseling, training, and advocacy to address the multiple factors that can place girls at risk of disengagement from school and other positive pathways. Our work has been recognized nationally for its contributions to improving educational outcomes, reducing involvement with the juvenile justice system, and supporting girls' long-term self-sufficiency.

For more than four decades, Pace has demonstrated that when girls are given the opportunity, resources, and relationships they need to succeed, they can and will thrive.
