Palmerton Area Library

A nonprofit organization

$4,993 raised by 25 donors

The Palmerton Area
Library is an Institution that is and has been a critical part of our local
culture. The town of Palmerton, Pennsylvania, was incorporated in the late
1800’s, and the building that first housed the library was completed in 1911,
one of the first structures in the town.  As the community has grown, the
library has changed locations but our purpose and importance has not changed.
The building that now houses the library is also a landmark in our community
with a long and prominent history. Its architecture inside and out make it a
fixture in the town. Because our building is located in the center of town, the
library serves as a cultural and educational center in our community.  The
Palmerton Area Library is a welcoming and vibrant place that is open to all.
Our institution was created with the vision of helping others and improving
their quality of life. We wish to extend a welcoming invitation to have you
visit our location and explore our gem of a facility.

Through the years we have had many generous donors that have
contributed to our survival. Now as the cost of living has increased we face a
struggle with basic needs. We are finding it tremendously hard having enough
funding availability to be a productive community center. We ask that you help
us be worthy of the area we serve by donating to our library. We do wish to
serve our community at a level that is informative, enriching, and
elevating.  We can’t do that without your help.
