Pappas Kids

A nonprofit organization

The mission of the Pappas Kids Schoolhouse Foundation is to help low-income, homeless and at-risk youth in Arizona schools succeed and grow in a positive educational environment.

We partner with schools that serve disadvantaged youth and assist with the educational, social and family needs of their students. By giving these students the opportunities they deserve and "eliminating the barriers" that childhood homelessness and poverty may create, we hope to change the course of their lives so they may become fully literate, productive members of our society. Pappas Kids also assist teachers at title 1 schools by assisting with funding at classroom items that they otherwise would have to personally pay for due to budget decreases in Arizona schools.

Student testimonial
I met Mrs. Sandoval at a grocery store. I
was trying to pay for some food and couldn't
afford everything. She asked if she could
pay my bill and I reluctantly accepted, I was
embarrassed. After she helped me she
asked if there was anything else I needed,
or if I would like a coffee from Starbucks.
I sat with Mrs. Sandoval and talked about
my life, you see I am homeless, I was living
in my friends rv van. My parents addicted to
drugs had left our lives two years prior. She
made me feel comfortable, after two hours
of me telling her about myself, she said
something that would forever change my life
"how can Pappas Kids help you succeed?".
Mrs. Sandoval not only became a mentor
that day but the support that Pappas Kids
provided me to help me finish my Jr. and
Senior Years of high school put me in a
position receive funding to attend
community college in 2020. Thank you for
changing my life, I wouldn't be here
without you! Mariyah L.
