Our Parish of the Holy Cross has been bringing the Word of the Lord to the residents of Bridgeton and western Cumberland County since October 2010 with the fusion of five churches: Immaculate Conception, St. Teresa of Avila, St. Mary, St. Michael and St. Anthony. From the lush and productive fields of Rosenhayn in the northern part of the parish to the shellfish-producing shores of the Delaware Bay in the southern end of the parish in Port Norris, the Parish of the Holy Cross fulfills its mission by reaching out to others in mercy and compassion and shares in the joy of the Gospel throughout our large community. We, the people of the Parish of the Holy Cross, are a multilingual and multicultural parish of the young and elderly, married and single, healthy and broken. Over the years, we have been able to grow our parish membership with our evangelization efforts as well as the recent arrivals of immigrants. As we evangelize our parishioners, we also do our part for social justice and in helping out our brothers and sisters in need. We have a soup kitchen as well as a food pantry. We also help those in need with our Poor Box. On this occasion of the #iGiveCatholic campaign, especially during the upcoming "Giving Tuesday" on December 3rd, we are asking for your generosity to help us with our parish maintenance and our recent upgrades, such as the canopy/roof over our barbecue pit which will help us out in our future fundraising barbecues.
