Our story
PAWS of NE Louisiana, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that has been serving the Northeast Louisiana area since 2003. We just celebrated 20 years of service. It was founded by residents who recognized the problems that our community faced regarding animal welfare. Since its inception, PAWS has grown thanks to our volunteers, members, and supporters. We are an all-volunteer organization that is guided by a volunteer board of directors. We do not have a physical location, paid employees, nor are we a shelter. We are an organization that facilitates services for our community through our Programs.

Founders realized the problems that our communities faced regarding animal welfare would not go away without intervention and education. Our mission is to reduce the number of unwanted puppies and kittens in NE Louisiana, help area shelters and rescues by pulling dogs to lessen their burden, and to show by example how rewarding the bond is with a loved, well-cared for pet.
