Pittsburgh Dream Center

The mission of the Pittsburgh Dream Center is to directly impact the issues that afflict Pittsburgh communities by reconnecting people to God and a community of support by providing free human services that address immediate and long-term needs in the area of hunger, poverty, homelessness, education, and human trafficking.

We provide the only mobile food bank in Western PA as we meet hunger right in the community of need. Each month we go to fourteen locations with fresh produce, meat, dairy products, non-perishable items, and household items to help make a difference against hunger.

In addition to our mobile food bank we have five additional outreaches focusing on children, community, discipleship, and hunger relief. We believe through serving others allows us the opportunity to share our faith in deed and word.

A young single mother called the Pittsburgh Dream Center as she moved into one of the neighborhoods we serve and asked if we have any food as she and her six children were in need. The family had to abruptly move from the city in which they were living due to unforeseen circumstances. They literally had a few suitcases of clothing but nothing more. Through our mobile food bank we were able to take a vast amount of food to assist the family and we spoke to the mother about other needs they had. Not only was the Pittsburgh Dream Center able to meet an immediate tangible need we were able to help provide long-term solutions for sustainability.
