Phoenix Project NOLA

A nonprofit organization

Mission Statement: Phoenix Project Nola's mission is to create transitional tiny homes for New Orleanians in need through the use of industrial hemp. Vision: Our vision is to build a community of sustainable and environmentally friendly tiny homes and provide financial education and literacy. Providing those in need with the tools to one day become a homeowner.

We started with a desire to give back and invest into the community of New Orleans through fostering and nurturing families. We believe in giving second chances and believe in increasing home-ownership in the city of New Orleans. Our goal is to help New Orleanians find jobs and housing during a transitional time in their lives.

Our services help propel participants to success by providing them the necessary resources to rise above any circumstance and reach their personal goals through education and transitional tiny homes built with industrial hemp materials.

We recognize the significant challenges associated with homeownership, we are fully aware that preparation and planning are essential steps on the path to becoming a homeowner. In a city where 23% of New Orleanians currently live below the poverty line, a level well below our median household income, Phoenix Project Nola is committed to empowering our participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve financial stability and homeownership.

In collaboration with another local non-profit, Phoenix Project Nola is excited to announce the completion of our first tiny house build by summer 2024. This cozy dwelling will provide a safe haven for a New Orleanian reentering into the community, featuring one bedroom, one bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and a comfortable living space, all within 500 square feet. This marks the beginning of a series of initiatives where Phoenix Project Nola will join forces with various organizations to address housing needs. Looking ahead to 2025, our goals include expanding our efforts to establish our own tiny home communities, with a special focus on providing support to women and children in need in New Orleans.
