Piney Woods Darkroom

Piney Woods Darkroom provides access to and training in traditional photographic methods, including classes and access to photographic darkrooms, labs, and equipment.

Piney Woods Darkroom fills a gap in East Texas' arts and cultural education no longer filled by any nearby remaining institutions, and also continues a rich tradition of analog photographic education in East Texas. Multiple generations of veteran and beginner photographers now have nearby access to photographic film, film cameras, chemistry, training, labs and equipment that can be very difficult to attain and also maintain in a home setting.
