Pittsburgh Camerata

A nonprofit organization

The Pittsburgh Camerata is a professional chamber choir distinguished by imaginative programming and excellence in performance in intimate settings.

The Pittsburgh Camerata presents a concert series of choral music each season. Season 2016-2017 introduces the Camerata's newly appointed Artistic Director Mark Anderson. Mark is also the Director of Music at Shadyside Presbyterian Church. For his inaugural season, Mr. Anderson has programmed three subscription concerts and included the Camerata in two concerts presented by Music in a Great Space, the concert series presented by Shadyside Presbyterian Church.

The professional chamber choir will present "Sure on This Shining Night" during December 2016, "Images and Reflections" in February 2017 and "A Chorus Divided" in June 2017. The Camerata will partner with Chatham Baroque and Music in a Great Space to perform "Messiah" and "Music of Handel" in April and June.

There is nothing quite like a Pittsburgh Camerata concert. Some of the finest choral voices in Western Pennsylvania audition each year to sing together and what a beautiful sound they make. Our goal is to sing beautiful music beautifully. This goal never changes
