Situated in the Providence area of Scranton, Providence Pregnancy Center supports pregnant women and their children by providing resources that empower them throughout pregnancy and motherhood. We offer material assistance, community referrals, counseling, and safe housing for expectant mothers. All services are accessible to everyone at no cost.

Providence Pregnancy Center features a resource center, a baby boutique, and a maternity home.

Our Resource Center provides daily assistance to women and children in our community by offering vital resources such as counseling, diapers, clothing, and education for expectant and new mothers.

Our Baby Boutique, located within the pregnancy center, is stocked with diapers, toiletries, brand-new clothing, car seats, and other essential items for babies. Mothers can take part in an Earn and Learn Program, which enables them to learn about important topics that mothers and families encounter while 'earning' Baby Bucks to 'shop' in our boutique. Just a few examples from the hundreds of topics offered through our education program include: Healthy Eating for Two, First Trimester Care, Infant Care, When to Call the Pediatrician, and Returning to Work. In 2024, we supported over 200 women at our center.

Our Maternity Home, Casa de Maria, provides a safe and nurturing home for pregnant women and their children up to five years old. These women often face challenges such as homelessness, domestic violence, abandonment, unemployment, and family issues. By creating a personalized plan for each mother to work on during their stay, we ensure they are better prepared for independence upon leaving our program. We are the only maternity home within a 100-mile radius that offers housing to pregnant mothers and their children.
