The mission of Premier Alliances, Inc. is Improving the Lives of People with Disabilities.
We have been working toward that goal continuously since our inception in 1962, when local families came together to provide educational opportunities for children in Bisbee, Arizona who had additional needs.

The original classroom was located in the basement of the Bisbee YWCA. These early years also saw direct support for the organization from the community via an annual cake auction. The first auction, held in 1962, raised $175. Over the years, programming expanded to include vocational training for teens and adults with disabilities, and the name of the organization was changed from the Bisbee ARC to the Cochise County Association for the Handicapped in 1975 to reflect these changes. The following year, CCAH acquired its first group home to expand its residential programming.

In 1984, CCAH became an affiliate of SourceAmerica, setting the stage for future opportunities through the acquisition of federal AbilityOne contracts, beginning in 1995 with the contract to perform grounds maintenance services for the Fort Huachuca Army Installation in Sierra Vista. Six years later, CCAH secured a subcontract to perform janitorial services at the Brian A. Terry Border Patrol Station in Bisbee.

In the summer of 2009, construction began on a new series of buildings on the Naco Highway camps of CCAH, including facilities for residential services, day programming, and light industrial programming. This campus now houses our administrative offices, the Founders Garden therapeutic space, and the Education/Conference Center professional meeting space. The organization was renamed to Premier Alliances, Inc. in 2014.

Today, Premier Alliances programming has consolidated to focus on the employment of individuals with additional needs. The organization also engages in strategic partnerships with fellow nonprofits, businesses, and local governments to advocate for the needs of this population, while also contributing to projects supporting its mission through philanthropic donations and advocacy efforts.
