Prince of Peace (Kearney)

Our parish offers a wide range of opportunities for ministry events and we cannot do it without you. Our middle school ministry (Edge) meets on Wednesday evenings and all high school ministries meet on Sundays. Nearly eighty students join us every week! The breakdown for this is forty on Wednesday evenings, twenty in Life Teen on Sundays, and nearly thirty in Confirmation.  At these times we offer a time of community building, learning about the faith and sharing the faith with others teens and a prayer opportunity to encounter the Lord.

Every year our parish provides scholarship opportunities for these teens to encounter Christ in a deeper way through participating in diocesan events such as High School Higher Ground, Higher Ground Extreme Faith for middle school students, and Steubenville for high school students.

In the summer, Prince of Peace and St. James provide summer ministries for Catholic middle and high school students in our community. We gather for Brunch Bunch (games and snacks), an overnight church challenge, pilgrimage and Messy Game Day.

We invite you to join in the fundraising efforts to our youth ministry program to help us provide scholarships for our teens to encounter the Lord on retreats, various supplies for ministry, Life Teen & Edge curriculum, and community events. Your support will allow us to continue doing the Lord's work in guiding these teens to heaven. Be sure to share our fundraising page and THANK YOU!!

Prince of Peace Youth Ministry Team is lead by Mr. Stephen Friesell. We primarily use LifeTeen and Edge: An Eucharistic center Youth Ministry. We also have a dynamic Religious Formation classes lead by Mrs. Amy Lowe. Fr. Paul Colling is the pastor. Thank you for supporting our youth.
