Prospect Community Library

A nonprofit organization

To assure effective, expanding, free library services and modern technology for the communities of Franklin Township, Muddycreek Township, Portersville Borough, and Prospect Borough in order to show our commitment to education and enlightenment. We especially recognize our responsibility to serve as a place for children to discover the joy of reading and the value of libraries by encouraging them to develop an ongoing interest in reading and learning.

We provide programming for all ages groups. Toddler and preschool storytime meets once per week at the library for stories, activities, and crafts. Our elementary school aged patrons meet once per week for an "Amazing Animal Adventure." Middle school and high school students form a teen advisory board that promotes the library through volunteer hours and fundraising efforts. And our adults get together for sewing, craft days, book club, and computer classes.
